Tanya Kleiman of North Potomac has been ringing a bell for the Salvation Army for the last several weeks, standing by as people deposit bills and coins in the red kettle to benefit the charity. For Kleiman, being a bell ringer is one way she can give back to the group. The charity offered her food and shelter when she was homeless for about four months in Jacksonville, Fla.
