A Capitol Heights man was shot and killed in Largo Saturday, Prince George’s County police said.

Anthony Moore, 23, of the 1100 block of 61st Avenue, was riding in a car with a friend along the 2200 block of Landover Road after 2 a.m. when they crashed into woods, police said. When officers arrived, they found the men both had been shot, and Moore was dead at the scene.

Information on the severity of the injuries Moore’s friend, who was driving, suffered was unavailable, said Lt. Terence Sheppard, police spokesman. The friend has not been identified.

Moore, his friend, and others in their group were leaving a nearby restaurant about 2 a.m. when they got into an argument with another group of people, police said.

Police could not say for certain if the crash, the shooting and the argument are connected, but are investigating as if they are, Sheppard said.
