Laurel Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Chevy Chase bank, located at 13600 Baltimore Ave., at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
After entering the bank, the suspect passed a note to a bank teller demanding all her large bills and held his hand in his pocket as if to imply he had a weapon, said police spokesman James Collins. No one was injured, he said.
Collins said the suspect took the money and fled the scene in a dark-colored Ford Mustang. Police have described the man as being in his 40s or 50s, between 6-feet and 6-feet-4-inches tall, and having a salt-and pepper goatee. The suspect was wearing brown Timberland boots with black pants and a blue winter jacket with gray lining, police said. Collins said police are not releasing the amount that was stolen.
Officials ask that anyone with information on the robbery call the Laurel Police Department at 301-498-0092.
