The Queen Anne School boys' basketball team opened its season on Saturday with a 70-46 victory over Indian Creek. Senior captain Edmond Wright led the way with 28 points and 5 assists. Larry Haley finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds, and freshmen Lloyd Bramble and Miles Meadows added 12 and 6 points, respectively. The Lions are back in action at 4 p.m. Monday at home against Avalon.
Elsewhere in the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference, the boys' team from Grace Brethren Christian School started its season Thursday with a 56-42 loss to Washington International School.
