Forest Heights resident found dead in his home Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 E-Mail This Article | Print This Story by Leslie Quander Wooldridge Staff Writer The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Cree Drive in Forest Heights.
At about 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 16, the victim, 73-year-old Hermann Haiss, was found dead inside his house on Cree Drive by a relative who went to check on his welfare, police said. According to the relative, the victim had not been seen or heard from since the previous day, which was unusual.
The victim’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. Police said investigators have determined that foul play is involved however; the cause of death has not been released.
