light! The Winter Lights Festival returns for an 11th season starting Friday and running through Dec. 31 in Seneca Creek State Park, 11950 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg. More than 380 illuminated displays and 60 animated vignettes have been constructed along a 3-1⁄2-mile drive. Winter Lights is open Sunday through Thursday, 6 to 9 p.m., with a $10 per car admission, and Friday and Saturday, 6 to 10 p.m., at $12 per car. Open trolley rides through the festival, $5 per person, will be available at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Mondays, Nov. 27, Dec. 4 and 11. Festival proceeds will benefit local charities, including The Dwelling Place, the Friends of Seneca Creek State Park, Hospice Caring, Inc., Identity and Shady Grove Adventist Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Parilla Performing Arts Center at Montgomery College, 51 Mannakee St., Rockville, presents ‘‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,”a TheatreworksUSA presentation, at 11 a.m.Saturday. The 60-minute show is recommended for ages 6 and older. Based on C.S. Lewis’ adventure story of the same name, it is an abbreviated version of the full-length musical ‘‘Narnia,” about four children who accidentally enter the mystical land of Narnia through a magic wardrobe. Since Greg, Murray, Anthony and Jeff are so busy, they can’t visit all their fans, they are sending their best friends on the road to present a show they designed, arranged and produced. It’s an all singing, all dancing performance featuring two hosts who sing all the Wiggles favorites — including ‘‘Fruit Salad,” ‘‘Romp Bomp a Stomp” and ‘‘Hot Potato” — with the help of The Wiggles’ best friends, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Dorothy the Dinosaur. Dust poets society Focus Inn Presents Vic’s Music Corner will feature the five-piece acoustic folk-pop group Dust Poets at 8 p.m. next Wednesday, Nov. 29, in O’Brien’s Barbecue, 387 East Gude Drive, Rockville. With roots in the Canadian prairie, the group’s original songs poke affectionate fun at themselves and the world around them while spreading their own irreverent brand of small-town angst.
