Mark Sawyer's comments regarding "Slots will take food of some tables" (Nov. 12 letter) were erroneous. He made ridiculous assumptions that most gamblers playing slots are addicts, elderly and veterans; and that those with money know how to manage it. Should we stop selling alcohol to prevent these same people from depleting their savings?
As one who enjoys playing slots as a recreational activity, I take offense at these comments. Now I can save gas from having to go out of state and keep the revenues here at home.
