Fritts family photo
Dr. Michael Singer (left) and Dr. Bob Barron work to reconstruct Donnie Fritts' face following a nearly fatal attack of a rare form of cancer that left Fritts without a nose, palate and upper lip. Fritts, a Georgia resident, has had about 20 surgeries since 2004 to repair the damage. He has developed a unique relationship with three doctors in Bethesda-Chevy Chase in the process.
