The Connelly School of the Holy Child will host a holiday bazaar this weekend at its Potomac campus.
Mayfield Market will take over Holy Child from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The event is host to more than 70 vendors, selling everything from clothing and jewelry to hand-painted furniture and stationery. A luncheon café will also be part of the festivities, as will a bake sale. Admission is free.

Bullis student named
to kid press club
Jonas Hosmer, a fifth grade student at Potomac's Bullis School, was recently named to the Scholastic Kids Press Corps, a national group of youngsters who report for Scholastic News.
Hosmer was one of 37 youth reporters named to the corps this year. His first assignment was Nov. 11, when he attended a Veteran's Day event at George Washington University. First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden were on hand.
Bullis equipped Hosmer with an iPod recorder to use on his assignments, and Scholastic provided a shirt, bag and notebook.
Parents and teens urged to attend drug and alcohol event
Walter Johnson High School will host its annual Drug and Alcohol Awareness Event, from 7-9 p.m., tonight, at the Bethesda school.
Parents and teens are invited to the free event, where county officials will be present to answer questions about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
In addition to Walter Johnson administrators, representatives from the Montgomery County Police Department and the State's Attorneys Office will be on hand.
Walter Johnson High School is located at 6400 Rock Spring Drive, Bethesda. The event will take place in the school cafeteria.
Poolesville events on the horizon
Poolesville High School's Midnight Players will perform "The Admirable Crichton" by J.M. Barrie this week.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the school, 17501 W. Willard Road, Poolesville.
Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Tickets can be ordered online for an extra $2 fee by e-mailing Lisa Templeton at jlh.temp@verizon.net.
The Poolesville High School Music Boosters will hold Italian dinner fundraisers at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday to raise money for the music department. Einstein grads welcomed back
The Albert Einstein High School Class of 1999 will host its 10-year reunion from 7 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, in Gaithersburg.

Architecture and design students meet at B-CC high
Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School art students were visited by students in George Washington University's interior design program on Oct. 29, as part of a program to reach out to burgeoning artists.
Program director Stephanie Travis fielded questions from the Advanced Placement arts students and George Washington students showed the teens their portfolios, and what can be done with a degree in interior design. One student flashed a plan for a jewelry store in Manhattan, while another showed construction plans for a residential project.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase students asked questions about the profession, and received literature about both interior design in general and the program at George Washington.
The group visits area high schools in an effort to educate students about interior architecture and design.
