Love & Company of Frederick named Tom Devinney director of senior living marketing. Previously, Devinney worked for Senior Lifestyle and Peninsula United Methodist Homes.
Montgomery
J.W. Marriott Jr., chairman and CEO of Marriott International of Bethesda, received the Award for Leadership from the Churchill Centre for his "lifelong commitment to diversity, social responsibility and community engagement."
Iridium Communications of Bethesda named retired Army Brig. Gen. Peter M. Dawkins a director. Dawkins is founder and principal of ShiningStar Capital. Previously, he was vice chairman of Global Wealth Management for Citigroup, vice chairman of the Citigroup Private Bank, and executive vice president and vice chairman of Travelers Insurance. He also was chairman and CEO of Primerica Financial Services and head of the U.S. consulting practice of Bain & Company.
EU Services of Rockville named Jeff Mackey vice president of operations.
Synutra International of Rockville named Joseph Chow interim CFO, succeeding Lawrence Lee, who resigned. Previously, Chow worked for Goldman Sachs, Harbor Networks, China Netcom, Bombardier Capital, Citigroup and GE Capital.

Ruppert Landscape of Laytonsville promoted Tommy Dimaio to project manager of its North Carolina landscape construction branch in Charlotte.
BAE Systems of Rockville promoted Bob Murphy to president of BAE Systems Land & Armaments, succeeding Linda Hudson, who was recently promoted to president and CEO of BAE Systems. Murphy will also serve on BAE Systems' Executive Committee. Previously, he was executive vice president, Land & Armaments Operating Group.
Leadership Montgomery of Rockville elected the following board members for 2009-2010: Joshua L. Bokee, director of government affairs for Montgomery and Frederick counties, Comcast; Briana M. Gowing, assistant vice president for external affairs, Verizon; Keith Levchenko, senior legislative analyst for the Montgomery County Council central staff; Graciela C. Rivera-Oven, consultant; and Marguerite R. Van Ness, senior vice president for worldwide meetings and communications, Social & Scientific Systems.
Prince George's
Prince George's County Executive Jack B. Johnson (D) was named County Executive of the Year by the Maryland India Business Roundtable and Asian American Heritage Center.

Raytheon named Chris Foster business development executive for its Information Security Solutions business in Linthicum. Previously, Foster was with Northrop Grumman. Earlier, he was deputy secretary of the Department of Business and Economic Development.
The Children's Guild of Baltimore promoted Kathy Lascala of Springfield, Va., to director of professional development schools. Previously, Lascala was educational director for the Koba Institute Focus Point School and also worked at Rippon Middle School, Independent Hill in Manassas and Woodbridge (Va.) Middle School.
