Lanham resident involved in crash with local weather anchorLanham resident Harvey Carey is facing charges for a car crash involving WTTG-TV weather anchor Gwen Tolbart. Carey, a Metrobus driver, has been charged with allegedly failing to stay in the proper lane. The accident occurred on Saturday night when Carey allegedly lost control of his Metrobus and crossed two lanes of traffic on Wisconsin Avenue in the District. The bus crashed through a barrier and struck the weather anchor’s car, which was traveling in the opposite direction. Both Tolbart and Carey were treated at a local hospital and released.
