County police reports

The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Rape
- On Oct. 17 at 5 p.m., in the 14300 block of Kimono Circle in Boyds. Domestic-related.
Home invasion robbery
- On Oct. 15 at 9:45 p.m., in the 18800 block of Sparkling Water Drive in Germantown. The victim heard a knock at the door and went to look. The victim opened the door when a suspect said he had hit the victim's car. The four male suspects rushed in. Once inside, the suspects ransacked the house taking property and then fleeing.
Armed robbery
- On Oct. 15 at 10:30 p.m., in the 12900 block of Churchill Ridge Circle in Germantown The pizza deliverer approached the building and was surrounded by five suspects, one of whom displayed a gun. His pizza and cash were taken. The suspects fled on foot. Suspect No. 1 was described as a Hispanic male, 18-20, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 18-20, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, mask covering face, handgun. Suspects No. 3-5 were described as black male, 18-20, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, mask covering face.
Attempted strong-arm robbery
- On Oct. 18 at 8:40 p.m., in the area of Gunners Branch Drive and Frederick Road in Germantown. An adult male was walking when the suspects approached and began to punch the victim. The suspects attempted to take the victim's property but were unsuccessful. They then fled on foot. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 16-17, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140-160 pounds. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 16-17, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, 130-150 pounds.
Strong-arm robbery
- On Oct. 18 at 7:20 p.m., at Brandermill Drive and Appledowre Circle in Germantown. The victim was walking when the suspects approached and began to punch the victim. The suspects obtained the victim's property and fled. The suspects were described as five black males, 16-24.
Vehicle larceny
- 13000 block of Country Ridge Drive in Germantown, at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 13. The victim heard the sounds of glass breaking, looked out the window and saw the suspect running through the parking lot. The victim went outside and noticed a brick was thrown through his window and his backpack and headphones were missing. The suspect was described as a black male, 20-25, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 200-210 pounds.
Commercial burglary
- Butlers Orchard, 22222 Davis Mill Road in Germantown, at 4:20 a.m. on Oct. 19. Forced entry, no property missing.
- Robert Hawkins Sod Farm, 17600 Whites Ferry Road in Poolesville, between 4 p.m. Oct. 14 and at 7:35 a.m. Oct. 15. Forced entry, property taken.
Residential burglary
- 11700 block of Ashworth Court in Germantown between 4 p.m. and 6:41 p.m. Oct. 13. Domestic related, no property taken.
- 19000 block of Noble Oak Drive in Germantown between 9:45 p.m. Oct. 12 and 6 a.m. Oct. 13. No forced entry, property taken.
- 19600 block of Selby Avenue in Poolesville between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Oct. 13. No forced entry, property taken.
