County police reports

The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County Police and/or Gaithersburg Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Attempted armed robbery
- On Oct. 14 at 12:02 a.m., in the 18500 block of Grackle Way in Montgomery Village. Two adult males were approached by two suspects armed with handguns who demanded the victim's cash. Nothing was obtained and the suspects fled in a vehicle. The suspects were in ski masks in a silver 4-door vehicle.
Robbery
- On Oct. 19 at 10 p.m., in the area of School Drive and Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg. The adult male victim was walking when three suspects demanded his money. The suspects stole his property and then struck him with a bottle. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 25-30, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 185-200 pounds. Suspect No. 2 was described as black male, 25-30, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 185-200 pounds. Suspect No. 3 was described as Hispanic male, 25-30, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, 185-200 pounds, black jacket.
- On Oct. 14 at approximately 10:30 p.m., in the 1100 block of West Side Drive in Gaithersburg. The suspect approached the male victim, punched him, and demanded his property. Victim complied and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was described as a black male, 20-30, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 3 inches tall, 175 pounds, black hat, black coat.
- On Oct. 12 at approximately 7:30 p.m., inside the Ross store, 480 N. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg. While shopping, a customer was confronted at knifepoint by the suspect. The suspect demanded property and the victim complied. Suspect fled out of the store. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 20's, curly hair, black jacket, black pants.
Attempted strong-arm robbery
- On Oct. 16 at 3:15 p.m., in the 100 block of Sunnybrook Terrace in Gaithersburg. Two suspects approached the male victim, assaulted him and went through his pockets. Nothing was obtained and the suspects fled. Suspect No. 1 was described as Hispanic male, 19-20, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 120 pounds, short brown hair. Suspect No. 2 was described as Hispanic male, 19-20, 5 feet 7 inches tall, long brown hair, blue sweater, black jeans.
Vehicle theft
- 9100 block of Quail Valley Boulevard in Gaithersburg, overnight between Oct. 12 and Oct. 13. 2000 Honda Civic stolen.
- 18700 block of Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village, overnight between Oct. 14 and Oct. 15. 2001 Chrysler Concorde stolen.
- Parking lot at 9650 Lost Knife Road in Montgomery Village, on Oct. 15. 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck stolen.
- 300 block of North Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg, at approximately 11:30 pm. Oct. 19. Responding units spotted the fleeing suspects and after a bailout, one suspect was arrested. A 22-year-old male from Gaithersburg was arrested.
Commercial burglary
- Absolute Mac store, 895 Quince Orchard Road, at approximately 4:20 a.m. Oct. 19. Attempted forced entry, nothing taken.
Residential burglary
- 17000 block of Downing Street in Gaithersburg, between 5 p.m. Oct. 15 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 16. Forced entry to shed, property taken.
- 9900 block of Killarney Lane in Gaithersburg, at 1:50 a.m. Oct. 14. Suspect confronted victim and fled without obtaining anything. No signs of forced entry.
- Unit block of Heritage Farm Court in Gaithersburg, between 10:15 p.m. Oct. 12 and 6 a.m. Oct. 13. No forced entry, property taken.
- 1100 block of Knoll Mist Lane in Gaithersburg, between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13. No forced entry, property taken.
- 17700 block of Towne Crest Drive in Gaithersburg, between 11:15 p.m. Oct. 15 and 8 a.m. Oct. 16. No forced entry, property taken.
