The host Lancers dominated possession for the entire game and outshot the Cadets 18-7.
Junior captain midfielder Katie Montgomery scored two goals and added an assist. She scored what would be the game-winner just nine minutes in to the game.
Junior forward Stephanie Giangiuli added a goal and two assists. Junior midfielder Shannon Carr and sophomore midfielder Meghan Martin chipped in a goal apiece.
"I am very, very excited, hopefully [the goals] keep coming," said Montgomery about her performance.
Senior defender Hannah Triebel helped the winners by making menacing runs from the fullback position, giving the Cadets' defensive unit fits.
Linganore (7-6-2), which led 3-0 at halftime advances to Tuesday's quarterfinal match at No. 3 seed to play Damascus.
"If we're focused and fired up we can pretty much play with anyone," said Montgomery.
The Lancers' defense was dominant on the night, conceding no corners.
"The girls came out and played our game and played relaxed. We've talked all season about playing our game, and when we do that we always have a chance," said Linganore head coach Howie Putterman.
Senior goalkeeper Edie Riggs (four saves) combined with junior goalie Alex Stubenrauch (one save), for the shutout.
Linganore was more than ready for the playoffs, having played seven top-four seeded teams during the regular season.
"We had a tough schedule, and [played in a] tough conference," Putterman said. "But that's helped us."
