Polangin is the
conscience of the budget'
While on my early morning walk up to Belair Mansion, I found a folded Diane Polangin sign in the trash can on Tarrigon Street near Tanglewood, and took it back home. I called Diane Polangin, who told me that she has lost 57 signs already.
It seems that the "good old boys" want to build a new lacrosse field and indoor swimming pool on some of the green property left in Bowie. Diane Polangin, our conscience of the budget, opposed it on the City Council, and the G.O.B. are out to get her. It seems to me that we need to keep her on the City Council from Ward 2. She knows how to honestly balance the city budget. This is why for the first time in the New York Bond Market, Bowie won the AAA rating.
I always see her in the Bowie Senior Center on their meet-and-greet days with the Bowie City Council. She's readily available, which is more than you can say for the G.O.B.'s.

Polangin responds
to constituents' concerns
I have known Diane [Polangin] since she was 16 years old, and I know she is a person of the highest integrity who makes things happen by rolling up her sleeves, getting in there and dealing with the issues. Diane has served us well these past two years. She is a creative problem solver with strong convictions.
Whenever someone in our community has a problem, her door is open, whether it is at home or at her office. Diane has worked hard for her constituents and is a most responsive council member. She is a mentor for many of the youth in Bowie, and she provides many valuable programs and advice to many of our senior citizens. Diane provides food and clothing for the needy and is an avid supporter of the rights of women and families.
Diane is a responsible advocate for the city and is a fiscal conservative, which has helped keep our taxes from being raised while continuing to provide city services, which ensure a sense of wellbeing.
Diane will listen to your concerns and follow any good sound advice when it is presented to her. I encourage the readers to vote for Diane Polangin for re-election as council member, District 2, on Nov. 3.
