The city does not have term limits
|
I was not aware that the City of Frederick has term limits for aldermen.
In The Gazette's argument for not endorsing incumbent Alderman Donna Kuzemchak, you implied that 12 years should be the limit for serving on the Board of Aldermen.
You could not find anything negative about Donna's 12 years of service, yet you concluded it was enough. I have just the opposite opinion. Voters should decide when they want a term to end, not The Gazette.
The institutional knowledge that Donna Kuzemchak would bring with her re-election would only enhance the contributions of the new aldermen. I think the residents of Frederick would benefit from an experienced perspective and voice.
