The A.C. Bowie U-8 soccer team shut out Broadneck, 4-0, on Saturday. Nathan Davidson had the only goal of the first half on a penalty kick. Matthew Surette, Noel Brittain and Justin Zivala scored in the second half. Luke Hanno had two assists. Alison Farina, Gabe Mignardi and Jared Byrd led the defense, and Zivala and Michael Farina split time in goal.

Peewee team tops Glenarden

The South Bowie Sharks peewee football team earned a 6-0 win against Glenarden in its homecoming game Saturday at Church Road Football Park. The win avenged South Bowie's 21-0 loss to Glenarden in the first game of the season. The Sharks clinched a playoff berth with Saturday's win and improved to 5-2.

Team 1 notches shutout

The South Bowie Sharks Team 1 flag football team rolled to a 30-0 win against District Heights on Saturday at Church Road Football Park. South Bowie raised its record to 5-2 and will move on to the playoffs.

U-7 team beats Greenbelt

The South Bowie Sharks U-7 flag football team turned back Greenbelt, 24-6, on Saturday at Church Road Football Park. The Sharks enter the playoffs with a

6-1-1 record.
