The following is a summary of incidents in Rockville to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Aggravated assault
- On Oct. 11 in the 800 block of 1st Street in Rockville. Domestic-related.
Strong-arm robbery
- On Oct. 11 at 3:15 p.m., in the 1100 block of Broadwood Drive in Rockville. The adult male victim was riding a bicycle when the suspect vehicle drove alongside him. One suspect got out and assaulted the victim. The second suspect searched his pockets and removed his property. All suspects got back into the vehicle and fled. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark colored 4-door compact vehicle.
- On Oct. 8 at 5:40 p.m., in the 2100 block of Veirs Mill Road in Rockville. The victim was sitting at the bus stop when the suspect approached and demanded his property. He struck the victim several times. A 27-year-old male from Silver Spring was arrested at the scene.
Vehicle larceny
- 7400 block of Westmore Road in Rockville, between at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 5 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 6. Broke window, GPS taken.
- 500 block of Hungerford Drive in Rockville, on Oct. 6. Broke window, GPS taken.
- On Oct. 12 during daytime hours at the Shady Grove Metro. Five Toyota vehicles had their catalytic converters removed.
- 1600 block of East Jefferson Street in Rockville, between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 10. Broke window, GPS taken.
- 1000 block of Rockville Pike in Rockville, between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7:50 a.m. Oct. 11. Suspects forced entry and tried to remove the in-dash stereo system. The suspects caused extensive damage but the stereo was not removed.
- 200 block of Congressional Lane in Rockville, Oct. 13. Vehicle left unlocked, nothing taken.
- 1600 block of East Jefferson Street in Rockville, Oct. 13. Vehicle left unlocked, GPS, cell phone charger taken.
- 200 block of Congressional Lane in Rockville, at an unknown time Oct. 13. Vehicle left unlocked, tools taken.
- On Crofton Hill Court in Rockville, overnight between Oct. 7 and Oct. 8. Broke window, credit card taken.
- 12400 block of Ansin Circle Drive in Rockville, between 10 p.m. Oct. 7 and 6 a.m. Oct. 8. Broke window, stereo, GPS taken.
- 11800 block of Goya Drive in Rockville, between 10 p.m. Oct. 7 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 8. Broke window, garage door opener taken.
- 7500 block of Heatherton Lane in Potomac, overnight between Oct. 7 and Oct. 8. Vehicle left unlocked, stereo, tools, CDs taken.
- 7900 block of Ivymount Terrace in Potomac, between 4:30 a.m. and 4:50 a.m. Oct. 7. An alert citizen observed the male suspect inside two vehicles and called the police.
- 1700 block of Glastonberry Road in Potomac, at 2:07 a.m. Oct. 14. The victim heard her vehicle alarm activate and saw the window broken and the door open. Purse taken.
- 11300 block of Hidden Hollow Court in North Potomac, between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and 7:45 p.m. Oct. 8. Broke window, purse, GPS, clothing taken.
- 9300 block of Glen Road in Potomac, between 11 p.m. Oct. 7 and 7 a.m. Oct. 8. Broke window, duffle bag with clothes, camera, cash taken.
Residential burglary
- 12200 block of Braxfield Court in Rockville, between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9. Forced entry, property taken.
- 400 block of Lincoln Street in Rockville, at 2:55 p.m. Oct. 7. The victim observed three cars full of suspects approach and fled to his home for safety. The suspects tried to force entry but fled in the vehicles after not being able to get in. The suspect vehicles were described as a light green vehicle, a silver 2-door vehicle and a black Honda Civic
- 500 block of Hungerford Drive in Rockville, between noon and 6 p.m. Oct. 7. Forced entry, property taken.
