This week's federal contracts, deals and bankruptcy filings involving Maryland businesses include the following:
FEDERAL
AAI Corp. of Hunt Valley won $1.07 million from the Army for advanced boresight equipment.
Coakley & Williams Construction of Gaithersburg won $42.87 million from the Army to design and build an armed forces medical examiner system facility.
Computer Sciences Corp. in Lanham won $63.55 million from the Air Force for information technology and telecommunications services.
Data Management Services Joint Venture of Silver Spring won $10.24 million from the Navy for training instructor and management support services.
Facility Site Contractors of Baltimore won $1.12 million from the Army for green energy building improvements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
MedTrends of Rockville won $9.93 million from the Department of the Treasury for security compliance posture monitoring and reporting services.
Native Sons Ltd. of Columbia won $3.56 million from the National Institute of Standards and Technology to install a steam and chilled water generation plant equipment instrumentation and controls system.
Webco Maryland of Cumberland won $3.47 million from the Army to build structures and facilities.
Westat of Rockville won $2.24 million from the National Institutes of Health for clinical trials support services under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

DEALS
First Mariner Bancorp of Baltimore plans to sell its consumer finance company subsidiary, Mariner Finance, for $10.5 million to MF Holdco, a new company sponsored by Milestone Partners, a middle market private equity firm. Proceeds will be used to increase the capital reserves of First Mariner's wholly owned First Mariner Bank, which was ordered last month by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to increase its capital reserves.
Hanger Orthopedic Group of Bethesda acquired Creative Orthotics & Prosthetics, Custom Orthopedics of Wyoming and certain orthotics and prosthetics assets from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, adding patient care centers to existing markets in New York, Wyoming and Pennsylvania. The three acquisitions total $10.7 million in annual sales.
TidalTV of Baltimore raised $8.5 million of a $16 million equity and securities offering.
IJJ Corp. of Capitol Heights acquired privately held TelecoTech Corp., also of Capitol Heights, which provides voice-over Internet protocol and networking services.
PROPERTY
Mona Electric Group of Clinton acquired and relocated to the former 84 Lumber facility on Old Alexandria Road in Clinton. The 5.5-acre property comprises two warehouse-style buildings of 23,000 and 10,000 square feet, respectively, plus 13,000 square feet of overhead canopy space.
