One more example of why ‘less’ won’t mean ‘more’

Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005

Last week’s article in the Sykesville⁄Eldersburg Gazette, ‘‘Road Work on the Horizon for Eldersburg,” is yet another example of why this community’s interest is best served by three county-wide commissioners, rather than one district representative.

At the urging of the commissioners, along with Delegate Susan W. Krebs (R-Dist. 9B) of Eldersburg and support from Sen. Allan Kittleman (R-Dist. 9) of West Friendship, the state is taking notice and making plans to alleviate traffic concerns in Eldersburg.

It is clear from this and other actions that the commissioners feel a collective responsibility to our community. This partnership and all ‘‘keeping an eye on the little guy” may not be so once Eldersburg is forced to elect only one individual to represent our community on the Board of County Commissioners.
