The Glenarden Admore Boys and Girls Club will hold its homecoming from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Glenarden Community Center, 8615 McLain Ave., in Glenarden. The day will include football games, carnival games, food and other activities. Call Stephanie Marshall at 301-219-9682.
The Peppermill Boys and Girls Club will hold its homecoming from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday The day-long event will commence with a parade that will feature the 65-piece high stepping marching band of the District's Eastern High School. The parade will kick off from the J. Franklin Bourne Aquatic Center and wind its way through the neighborhood and end at the Peppermill Community Center, 610 Hill Road in Landover. Peppermill will celebrate its 36th anniversary as its football teams play host to the Maplewood Sports Association of Bethesda.
Falcons shut out Titans
The Prince George's Falcons Mitey Mites football team rolled to a 28-0 victory against the Ridge Road Titans in Capital Beltway League action on Saturday. Gerry Evans, who has scored 10 touchdowns in five games, led the way on offense. Anthony Morales, Nelson Coronado and Kelvin Randall also contributed to a Falcons' rushing attack that has combined for more than 1,500 yards this fall.
Derrick Wheatley, Jesse Hooks, Jaron Fernandors, William Stoney and Darious Miles anchor a defense that has allowed just one touchdown in five games. Horance Brown, Justin Johnson, Josiah Canty, Luke Savoy, Hashim Ball, Jaiden Riddick and Zaire Farmer lead the way on the offensive line.
Pony team wins
The Prince George's Falcons Pony football team earned its first win of the season, beating the Ridge Road Titans, 9-6, on Saturday in their homecoming game. Rudy Funn, Ranari Dixon, JayMnte Doy, Jeffrey Freeland and Derrionte Johnson led the offensive line, which paved the way for the rushing attack of Kreistefer Harris, DeAndre Banks and George C. Rambert. Miles Johnson, Denioro Southern, Tarris Williams, Darious Garnett and Markees Ashmond led the defense and Anthony Broock, Kieyon Grayson, Eric Thorton and Kelvon Williams contributed on special teams.
Anklebiters win
The Prince George's Falcons Anklebiter Team 2 football team was a 13-0 winner against South Germantown on Saturday, improving to 4-1 this season. Jarred Horton, James Culp, Markiece Void, Juan Deigo Thompson, Quinton Savage and Evan Benberry led the offensive line, which opened holes for Xavier Gray, Eric Pitts, Jarrod Caldwell, Charles Kelly and Gerrell Evan. Anthony Rutherford, Steven Lawton, Keith Washington, Jarron Nathan, Brian Parks, Kevin Jacobs Mo Robinson, and Quentin Lewis led the defensive line, and Shawn Dotson and Darious Byrd had solid open-field tackles.

Kettering-Largo-Mitchellville Boys and Girls Club's basketball program is holding registration for boys and girls ages 5 to 18. South Bowie falls
The South Bowie Sharks
85-pound AAA football team dropped a 13-6 decision to Glenarden on Friday night at Church Road Field.
Glenarden scored first on a drive aided by several South Bowie penalties. Reggie Harris returned the ensuing kickoff 45 yards and scored on a 20-yard run on the next play to tie the game. Matthew Phillips, Demarco Johnson, Elonte Kemp, Khalil Watson, Christian Melgar, Korey Hayman, Brent Haymen, D.J. Waring and James Lovelace led a solid defensive effort by the Sharks, as the game was tied 6-6 at halftime.
SouthBowie drove to the Glenarden 25-yard line in the third quarter, but an interception ended the drive. Harris forced and recovered a fumble to give South Bowie the ball again, but the Sharks were unable to capitalize. And on its next possession, Glenarden scored on a 50-yard run to take the lead for good.
