Eight arrested, two injured in Forestville academy fightTwo Forestville Military Academy students were taken to the hospital Thursday with non-life threatening injuries and eight other students were arrested after a morning fight at the school. About 10 people came to the school and began fighting with students in the hallway in between classes, according to school officials. The people fled before police officers arrived, according to Joseph Aiello, a spokesman for the sheriff’s department, which provides a deputy at each high school to assist with security. School system spokesman John White said three of the students involved in the altercation were recently suspended from Forestville and should not have been at the school today. “They were essentially trespassing this morning,“ White said. Officials believe there were about 20 people involved in the fight. The reason for the fight was not clear as of Thursday afternoon, but officials believe the fight was a continuation from a previous dispute in a local neighborhood. Seven of the students arrested are younger than 18. They are all facing charges of second-degree assault. Every student involved in the fight could face suspension or expulsion, White said. All after-school activities were cancelled today, including a PTA meeting scheduled for this evening, White said.
