with standing hed: County police report

The following is a summary of incidents in the First (Rockville) and Fourth (Wheaton-Glenmont) districts to which Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

First District

Armed robbery

*On Sept. 26 at 7 p.m., a 24-year-old Rockville man was at home in the 12900 block of Churchill Ridge Circle when four men burst into his home when he answered the door. The victim recognized two of the men. One of the robbers displayed a handgun. They assaulted the victim and took personal property, then fled the scene. The identities of two of the robbers are known and the investigation is continuing. The other two robbers are described as white, 22-25.

*On Sept. 22 at 11:14 p.m., the 7-Eleven convenience store at 6848 Olney-Laytonsville Road in Olney was robbed. A lone man entered the store and displayed a black handgun and demanded money. The employee removed cash from the register and the robber fled the store. The robber is described as black, 15-18, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 140-150 pounds, bald, wearing a black hooded jacket, blue bandana, blue jeans and black shoes.

*On Sept. 22 at 12:08 p.m., an employee of the 7-Eleven store in Rockville went to parking lot of the Bank of America on Redland Road to make a deposit. She parked her vehicle and was approached by a man who put a gun to her head and demanded the deposit. The victim handed it over. The robber then ran westbound on Redland Road. The robber is described as black, 20-25, 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, wearing a black hat, black jacket and black pants.

Assault

*On Sept. 22 at approximately 2:50 p.m., a 47-year-old man from Suitland was at a construction site at the corner of Bou Avenue and Chapman Avenue in Rockville when a man produced a knife and poked it at him. The assailant is described as Hispanic, 30, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 190 pounds.

Larceny arrest

*On Sept. 25 at 10:50 a.m., a 48-year-old man from Rockville was mowing in the1200 block of First Terrace in Rockville and discovered that his cell phone, tools and a backpack blower that been taken from his truck. Police arrested Keith Augustine, 18, of the 17400 block of Hoskinson Road in Rockville.

*Lourie Center, 12301 block of Academy Way in Rockville, between 6 p.m. Sept. 12 and 6:40 a.m. Sept. 13. Forced entry; property taken.

*Shady Grove Presbyterian Church, 16911 Redland Road in Derwood, between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 21 and 8:30 a.m. Sept. 22. Forced entry; property taken.

*Semmes & Co., 10220 River Road in Potomac, between 11 p.m. Sept. 15 and 8 a.m. Sept. 18. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*Tina’s Beauty Supply Inc., 15108 Frederick Road in Rockville, at 2:45 a.m. Sept. 19. Forced entry; nothing taken.

*Maryland Shuttle Auto Garage, 12221 Parklawn Drive in Rockville, between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and 8 a.m. Sept. 20. No forced entry; tools taken.

Residential burglaries

*12600 block of Tobytown Drive in Potomac, between 6 p.m. Sept. 24 and 6 a.m. Sept. 25. Forced entry; no property taken.

*7800 block of Derwood Road in Derwood, between 4:30 p.m. Sept. 24 and 7 a.m. Sept. 25. Forced entry; property taken.

Fourth District

Armed robbery

*On Sept. 23 at 11:15 p.m., an employee of Mastercut in Wheaton was making a deposit at an ATM in front of the Target in the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road in Wheaton when two men approached and pointed a gun at the victim. They demanded and obtained cash. The first robber is described as black, 20-25, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall, 180-200 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt. The second is described as black, 20-25, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 165-190 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.

Commercial burglaries

*Dominos’s Pizza, 13659 Georgia Ave., Aspen Hill, between 12:15 and 9 a.m. Sept. 15. Forced entry; property taken.

*Highland Middle School, 3100 Medway Street, on Sept. 16 at 8:28 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

Residential burglaries

*18500 block of Meadowland Terrace in Olney, between 10 p.m. Sept. 18 and 6 a.m. Sept. 19. No forced entry; property taken.

*1130 block of University Boulevard West in Wheaton, between 2:30 and 8:30 p.m. Sept. 15. No forced entry; property taken.

*1400 block of Elm Grove Circle in Silver Spring, between 7:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 13. Forced entry; property taken. Suspect arrested.

*4400 block of Hallet Street in Aspen Hill, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 18. Forced entry; property taken.

*12200 block of Atherton Drive, between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 15. No forced entry; property taken.

*2600 block of Dawson Avenue in Wheaton, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 15. Forced entry; property taken.

*4500 block of Woodlark Place, Rockville, between 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Sept. 11. Forced entry; property taken.
