Armed robberies

*Sept. 17: A woman got out of a vehicle in the 1900 block of East West Highway with two men about 10 p.m., pointed a gun at her ex-boyfriend, a 20-year-old Silver Spring man, and struck him in the face. The three then took property from the victim.

Police know the woman’s identity. The men were black, 20 to 22 years old. One was 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighed between 170 and 180 pounds, had cornrows in his hair, and wore a black T-shirt and black pants. The other was 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighed between 150 and 160 pounds, was bald, and wore a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.

*Sept. 23: A man with a handgun took cash from the 6-Twelve Convenient Mart, 10755 Colesville Road just before 10 p.m. He ran toward Hillwood Drive. He was black, 6 feet tall, 230 pounds and wore blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt.

*Sept. 23: A man got out of a vehicle in the 700 block of Seek Lane about 4:30 a.m. demanded cash from a 36-year-old Silver Spring man, took his wallet and then rejoined two other men in the vehicle, which was seen heading toward University Boulevard.

The men were Hispanic between 20 and 25 years old, and 5 feet 2 inches tall.

Assault

*Sept. 19: A woman with a knife approached a 16-year-old Silver Spring girl at a bus stop about 2:20 p.m. in the 900 block of University Boulevard West. The victim was able to kick the knife away but then was physically attacked.

The woman with the knife was Hispanic, and wore a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black Timberland boots.

Arrests

*Sept. 23: Police charged a 40-year-old Burtonsville man with first- and second-degree assault about 7 p.m., after he allegedly grabbed his wife, 43, threw her against the wall and hit her during an argument. The victim was treated at the scene.

*Sept. 22: Roshon Hamiff, 44, of the 50 block of Kingsview Drive in Silver Spring was charged 11:20 a.m. with first- and second-degree assault. Police allege he hit a 52-year-old Silver Spring man he knows in the leg with a wooden board near a bus stop at the intersection of Colesville Road and University Boulevard in Silver Spring.

Commercial burglaries

*Abe Networks, 8968 Brookville Road, between 12:01 p.m. Sept. 18 and 7:58 a.m. Sept. 19. Forced entry; tools taken.

*Construction site, 3900 block of Bryant Park Circle, reported 5 p.m. Sept. 15. Electric ranges taken from two townhouses.

Residential burglary

*Aventurine Way, 2100 block, between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 17. No forced entry; property taken.
