The following is a summary of incidents in Gaithersburg to which the Montgomery County Police and/or Gaithersburg Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Aggravated assault
ïOn Sept. 10 at 7 p.m., in the 17100 block of Queen Victoria Court in Gaithersburg. An argument between several neighbors culminated with one adult female stabbing another adult female. The 23-year-old female suspect was arrested.
ïOn Sept. 9 at 9:55 p.m., in the stairwell of a building in the 900 block Clopper Road in Gaithersburg. Disorderly juveniles were creating a disturbance when a resident came out of his apartment to settle them down. The resident was attacked with a pipe by at least one of the suspects and kicked while on the ground. One of the suspects, 16, was arrested.
ïOn Sept. 13 at 5 p.m., in the 200 block of Summit Hall Road in Gaithersburg. The 17-year-old male victim was found suffering from dozens of stab wounds. Several suspects were arrested.
Armed robbery
ïOn Sept. 14 at 9 p.m., in the 400 block of North Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg. The adult male victim was approached by three suspects who produced a handgun and took his cash. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 20-25, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150-160 pounds, crew cut, white T-shirt, baggy blue jeans. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 20-25, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 190-200 pounds, crew cut, white T-shirt, baggy blue jeans. Suspect No. 3 was described as a black male, 20-25, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 200-210 pounds.
Sex assault
ïOn Sept. 11 at 8:45 a.m., at Diamond Drugs at 226 E. Diamond Ave., in Gaithersburg. The adult female victim was inquiring about employment when she was assaulted by a store employee.
Robbery
ïOn Sept. 15 at 8:25 p.m., in the parking lot of the 900 block of Clopper Road in Gaithersburg. The adult female victim was getting out of her car when she was approached by three men, one of whom demanded her purse. As she turned, the suspect punched her, grabbed the purse and fled.
Attempted vehicle theft
ïSharpstead Lane and Gold Kettle Drive in Gaithersburg, between 11 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 12. Both Honda Accords had ignition damage.
Vehicle larceny
ï9400 block of Collette Way in Montgomery Village, at 6:45 a.m. on Sept. 11. A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 180- 200 pounds, hair worn in an Afro, and wearing a multicolored shirt.
ï833 Russell Avenue, parking lot of Bloom Store, in Montgomery Village at 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 14. A purse was stolen from an open vehicle while the victim was loading groceries into her car. The female suspect was seen getting into a white van on Christopher Avenue.
ï800 block of Hidden Marsh Court in Gaithersburg, between 1:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on Sept. 12. Window broken, purse, GPS unit, cell phone taken.
ï800 block of Hidden Marsh Court in Gaithersburg, overnight between Sept. 13 and Sept. 14. Window broken, GPS unit taken.
Residential burglary
ï17000 block of King James Way in Gaithersburg, between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 12. No signs of forced entry, property taken.
ï18900 block of Quail Valley Boulevard in Gaithersburg, between Sept. 11 and Sept. 14. Forced entry, property taken. House was damaged inside.
ï18500 block of Boysenberry Drive in Gaithersburg, on Sept. 15. Forced entry, property taken.
ï1200 block of Knoll Mist Lane in Montgomery Village, between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 12. Forced entry, nothing missing.
ï400 block of Girard Street in Gaithersburg, between 8 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 8. No sign of forced entry, property taken.
