Recycling
The Montgomery Division of Solid Waste Services provides blue bins to collect glass jars and bottles, aluminum cans and foil products, plastic bottles and bundled mixed paper. Curbside pick-up is once a week, and must be set out by 7 a.m. The county also recycles other items such as computers, motor oil, scrap metal, tires, appliances and phone books. The items can be dropped off in person at the county's public transfer station, 16101 Frederick Road in Derwood.
