Carjacking on Maryland campus

University of Maryland College Park campus police is investigating the campus’ first carjacking in five years.

University Police Spokesman Paul Dillon said five black males carjacked a male student’s 2007 Toyota Yaris at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The incident occurred in front of student dorm Easton Hall.

‘‘No injuries occurred during the carjacking but one of the suspects drew a silver automatic weapon on the victims,” Dillon said.

The investigation is continuing.
