Bomb threat probe continues

Employees and shoppers wait outside the Wal-Mart store in Eldersburg Friday afternoon as Maryland State Police Troopers and a bomb detection dog search the premises in response to a bomb threat. Nothing was found in the search.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police, Westminster Barrack, arrived at the store located on the corner of Route 32 and Liberty Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. to search the building, according to a state police press release.
The search included the use of a bomb detection dog and lasted for more than an hour. Police did not find anything suspicious, according to the release.
Employees and customers remained in the parking lot until 3 p.m. at which time the store reopened.
As of Monday, there were no suspects and the investigation was continuing. Questions can be directed to the Maryland State Police, Westminster Barrack, at 410-386-3000.
