Montgomery County Democrats have nominated two new delegates in Districts 16 (Bethesda area) and 39 (Germantown, Gaithersburg area).

The names of Charles William ‘‘Bill” Frick of Bethesda in District 16 and Kirill Reznik of Germantown in District 39 will be forwarded to the governor, who has 15 days to approve the decision of the county’s Democratic Central Committee.

Frick, an attorney and vice president of the District 16 Democratic Club, was chosen from among 11 applicants who vied for the seat left open by Marilyn R. Goldwater (D), who retired last month.

Frick chairs the Montgomery County Pedestrian Advisory Committee and has worked on county, state and federal campaigns. Frick and his wife, Bethany, have a17-month-old daughter.

‘‘This is an outstanding field of candidates, so it’s really an honor,” he said after winning the committee’s nomination on Tuesday night.

Reznik, a Central Committee member and an executive with an international development company, was chosen from among five applicants for the seat Nancy J. King (D) of Montgomery Village left when she was appointed to the state Senate last week.

One applicant for the District 39 seat, Tony Puca of North Potomac, was unable to make his case to the central committee on Tuesday night because he was undergoing open-heart surgery after a car crash, Central Committee Chairwoman Karen Britto said Tuesday night.

If appointed, Frick and Reznik will fill out the remainder of their predecessors’ terms, which end in 2010.
