High school girls in Ghana crowd around an African female trainer as she shows them basic care and repair of the newly shipped bikes. Each of these girls received a bicycle in 2007 from the Village Bicycle Project, a nonprofit that provides gently used bicycles in America to villages in Africa for transportation. The bikes are donated by people such as Wheaton teen Luke Farrell, who collected and fixed up bikes this past year as part of his Eagle Scout project.
