Every member of the Montgomery County Council is endorsing Gov. Martin O'Malley's 2010 bid for re-election, except for council President Philip M. Andrews (D-Dist. 3) of Gaithersburg, according to an O'Malley campaign Web site list of early supporters.
Andrews could not be reached for comment.
Councilwoman Valerie Ervin (D-Dist. 5) of Silver Spring presumably is listed as an O'Malley/Brown supporter. However, the campaign Web site lists her name as "Valerie Irvin."
About 50 Montgomery County politicians, including the entire local delegation to Annapolis, also are supporting the O'Malley/Brown campaign, according to the list. The exception is Del. Ana Sol Gutierrez (D-Dist. 18) of Chevy Chase.
Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett (D), State's Attorney John McCarthy, Sheriff Ray Kight and Register of Wills Joseph Griffin also are listed as supporters.
Originally, Kight's name also was misspelled and listed as "Ray Knight." It was corrected on an updated list.
