Open forum: Renters paying for fence, too

I may be a renter but I am still a resident of East Village, and my rent amount is partially set by the assessments. I was dismayed and angered to read of the continuing controversy regarding the fence that East Village has installed.

We now find out that it was illegally installed under dangerous Pepco transformers without permission, and that it was partially installed on another community’s property.

How much is this install, repair, uninstall, planning board and legal battle costing East Village residents whether renters or owners?
