Ilboo and Belen Jang of Silver Spring announce the engagement of their daughter, Christelle Mi Hyeon Jang, to Eric Alps Chen, son of Lung Hua and Liza Chen of Irvine, Calif.
The bride-to-be graduated from James Hubert Blake High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in public and community health from the University of Maryland. She is a policy analyst at America’s Health Insurance Plans in the Center for Policy and Research.
The prospective groom holds a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a master of science degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a biomedical engineer at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the Division of Cardiovascular Devices at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health.
A July wedding is planned.
