Bethesda Police Report

The following is a summary of incidents in Bethesda to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Aggravated assault

*On Aug. 10: At 10:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of Dupont Avenue in Kensington, an adult male victim was assaulted with a knife by the suspect and sustained minor injuries. The suspect was described as a black male, 22, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 175 pounds.

*On Aug. 9: Between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Halsey Street, an adult female victim was assaulted with a knife. Minor injury. The suspect was described as a white male, 40, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180-185 pounds.

Stolen vehicle

*Between Aug. 8 and Aug. 9: At an unknown time, a 1998 Acura was stolen from a residential parking lot in the 8300 block of Grubb Road in Silver Spring and was recovered later that day in Lanham.

Vehicle larceny

*Middleton Lane and Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda. Property taken. No signs of forced entry.

*7700 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda. Property taken. No signs of forced entry.

*7400 block of Waverly Street in Bethesda. Forced entry and property taken.

*7300 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda. Forced entry and property taken.

*3200 block of Fayette Road in Chevy Chase, three larcenies from vehicles between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m. Aug. 10. Entry method into two of the vehicles was unknown, the third had been left unlocked; property was taken. One of the victims heard a noise and saw a lone suspect going through the vehicles. The suspect was described as a white male, 20-25, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 130-35 pounds, crew cut.

*4500 block of Wetherill Road and 4900 block of Jamestown Road in Bethesda. Property taken from two unlocked vehicles parked in residential driveways.

Commercial burglary

*Chevy Chase CITGO, 8505 Connecticut Ave. in Chevy Chase, at an unknown time between Aug. 11 and 12. Forced entry; property taken.

*Construction site, 8300 block of Burdette Road in Bethesda at an unknown time on May 14, Aug. 7-8 and Aug. 13-14. Forced entry; property taken.

*Champs Sports, 7101 Democracy Blvd. at approximately 11:30 p.m. Aug. 8. A group of nine suspects were observed in the area. Three suspects were described as Hispanic male, 18-27; five suspects were described as black males, 18-27; one suspect described as a white female, 18-27, 5 feet to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 100-130 pounds.

*The Gables, 10801 Hampton Mill Terrace in Bethesda, at an unknown time between Aug. 7 and 8. Forced entry; no property taken. Suspect No. 1 was described as a white male, 18-19, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160-170 pounds. Suspect No. 2 was described as a white male, 18-19, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 150-170 pounds.

Residential burglary

*4000 block of Jones Bridge Road in Chevy Chase, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 9. Forced entry; property taken. Three suspects were described as white males and one suspect was described as a black male

*5000 block of Baltimore Avenue in Bethesda between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 7. Forced entry; property taken.

*7000 block of Winterberry Lane in Bethesda, at an unknown time between Aug. 12 and 13. No forced entry; property taken.

*6400 block of Windermere Circle in Bethesda, between 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Aug. 14. Forced entry; property taken.

*11200 block of Woodglen Drive in the area of Old Georgetown Village in Bethesda, at an unknown time between Aug. 9 and 10. No forced entry; property taken.

*11300 block of Hollowstone Drive in the area of Old Georgetown Village in Bethesda, at an unknown time between Aug. 9 and 10. No forced entry; property taken.
