Two local golf courses will host golfers for a charity event Saturday. The Bethesda Country Club at 7601 Bradley Blvd., Bethesda, and Falls Road Golf Course at 10800 Falls Road, Potomac, will join 2,000 other facilities in the United States as part of a fundraising campaign for the Fallen Heroes Foundation.

The foundation supports families of military members who were disabled or killed while on military duty. Golfers participating in the inaugural Patriot Golf Day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. are asked to donate $1 to the fund, Wounded Warriors, Inc., in addition to the regular greens fees.

To participate, call the golf courses directly for details and to schedule a tee time. Falls Road Golf Course can be reached at 301-299-5156. Bethesda Country Club can be reached at 301-365-2856.
