Tuesday, Sept. 4

The free ‘‘Opera with Irv Nurik” series continues at 1:15 p.m. with the Puccini one-act opera ‘‘Gianni Schicci.”

Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services sponsors a bilingual Senior Nutrition Program hotline. Seniors and caregivers can get answers to diet and nutrition questions from a registered dietician from 9 to 11 a.m. Call 240-777-1100.

The AARP Widowed Persons Service holds free weekly support groups for persons widowed less than two years from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Leland Community Center, 4301 Willow Lane, Chevy Chase. Call 301-949-7398 to register.
