Voting precinct changes proposed

Changes target Clarksburg, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Germantown, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Sandy Spring, Cabin John, Olney and Aspen Hill

The county Board of Elections is seeking public comment on proposed changes to polling sites at several voting precincts.

Comments should be sent by Oct. 5 to Paul Valette, manager of elections operations, P.O. Box 4333, Rockville MD 20849. Or e-mail comments to paul.valette@montgomerycountymd.gov. Or call him at 240-777-8585.

Maps showing the proposed changes may be reviewed at the Board of Elections at 751 Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville or on the board’s Web site — www.777vote.org.

The proposed changes are in:

*Clarksburg: Precinct 02-08, a new precinct, to vote at Little Bennett Elementary School. Precinct 02-06 was split; last year, residents voted at Cedarbrook Community Church.

*Rockville: Precinct 04-14 to vote at College Gardens Elementary School.

*Silver Spring: Precinct 05-03 to vote at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring.

*Silver Spring: Precinct 05-12 to vote at Paint Branch High School.

*Germantown: Precinct 06-10 to vote at Great Seneca Creek Elementary School.

*Germantown: Precinct 06-11 to vote at Northwest High School.

*Rockville: Precinct 06-12, a new precinct, to vote at Shady Grove Conference Center at the Universities at Shady Grove. Precinct 06-02 was split; last year residents voted at Sts. Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.

*Gaithersburg: Precinct 06-13, a new precinct, to vote at the Christian Life Center on Darnestown Road. Precinct 06-04 was split; last year residents voted Dufief Elementary School.

*Bethesda: Precinct 07-08 to vote at Christ Lutheran Church.

*Bethesda: Precinct 07-10 to vote at Saint Jane Frances de Chantal Church.

*Bethesda: Precinct 07-12 to vote at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Fire and Rescue Squad facility.

*Olney: Precinct 08-09 to vote at Olney Swim Center.

*Sandy Spring: Precinct 08-13, a new precinct, to vote at Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department. Precinct 08-11 was split; last year, residents voted at at Brooke Grove Elementary School.

*Gaithersburg: Precinct 09-33 to vote at Summit Hall Elementary School.

*Cabin John: Precinct 10-11to vote at Cabin John Indoor Tennis Courts.

*Cabin John: Precinct 10-12 to vote at Cabin John Middle School Gym. Precinct 10-04 also votes at Cabin John Middle School in the All Purpose Room.

*Silver Spring: Precinct 13-14 to vote at St Luke Lutheran Church.

*Bethesda: Precinct 13-26 to vote at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church.

*Silver Spring: Precinct 13-36 to vote at Shriver Elementary School.

*Aspen Hill: Precinct 13-37 to vote at Parkland Middle School.

*Silver Spring: Precinct 13-47 to vote at NOAA Science Center.

*Aspen Hill: Precinct 13-69, a new precinct, to vote at Leisure World Clubhouse 2. Precinct 13-54 split; last year, residents voted at Leisure World Clubhouse 1.
