Graffiti probe continues in Landover Hills Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006 Prince George’s County Police are continuing their investigation into the Aug. 22 vandalism of at least 15 vehicles, a vacant house and some road signs in Landover Hills.
While the spray painting included swastikas, Ku Klux Klan remarks and anti-Latino slogans, Dist. 1 Police Commander Kevin Davis said there was no specific target.
‘‘In a way that’s something worth noting for us,” he said. ‘‘I think this type of crime is fueled by anger issues.”
Police have no suspects in the crime but Davis said an extensive neighborhood canvas produced leads that are being pursued.
‘‘There is probably more than one person involved,” he said. ‘‘It was probably a young person.”
About 3:15 a.m. Aug. 22, police responded to the 7400 block of Taylor Street for a report of vandalism. Officers met with a homeowner who said two of his cars had been spray-painted with racial epithets.
Police believe the acts took place between midnight and 3 a.m.
