A Bowie man was held up at gunpoint at an ATM in Bowie Town Center on Aug. 19, according to Bowie police reports.

Philip Varady, 20, was driving through a Bank of America ATM located at 3791 Evergreen Parkway at about 11:20 p.m. when two unidentified people approached the car with a gun and demanded he withdraw money from the ATM. Varady gave them $274, and they fled on foot toward the Town Center. No further description of the robbers was available.
