Today we relaunch our Web site, www.gazette.net. The site has been redesigned and improved in important ways, including:
ïWe are expanding our daily news coverage. Check in each weekday morning for new stories, and then check back throughout the day for the latest developments.
ïWe are publishing a comprehensive daily sports report, featuring timely results from high school and other sports events, and more pictures and video. This coverage begins the week of Sept. 3.
ïWeekend Picks will be a new offering on our community calendar which features hundreds of local listings.
Also by mid-October we will be introducing three new classified features:
First up is "Gazette Buy & Sell" which will connect private buyers and sellers of merchandise with no charge for Internet listings and photographs that you post yourself and a discount for placing the ad in print. We bring 50 years of our trusted name and a reputation for delivering results to this online and print service for our Gazette community.
Auto Showcase will then debut with more used and new car listings from local dealers and private sellers with special locator and Web tools to assist in making purchases.
Gazette Homes, will become the most dynamic local real estate Web and print combination, allowing buyers to search for homes through the Multiple Listing Service data base or Gazette Preferred Properties, plus a centerpiece feature on what we do best – provide information on neighborhoods.
We hope you like what you see on www.gazette.net that you will come back daily for news and sports, to plan your weekend, or check out new classified and shopping features.
And, as always, please let us know what you think. Send us a note at newsite@gazette.net. We value your feedback as we continue to improve both our newspaper and online service to the Gazette community.
