Police blotter

The following is a summary of incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.
Burglary
-Between Aug. 3 and Aug. 4, at Fox Chapel Elementary School, 19315 Archdale Road in Germantown. Forced entry, interior vandalized. No property reported missing.
Bank robbery
-On Aug. 11 at 10:15 a.m. at Navy Federal Credit Union, 11528 Middlebrook Road in Germantown. The suspect entered the bank, demanded money and fled. The suspect was described as a black male, 25-30, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 280 pounds.
Attempted strong-arm robbery
-On Aug. 6 at 10:15 p.m., in the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road in Germantown. The suspect followed the male victim into the McDonalds restaurant, punched him in the face and attempted to steal cash. Suspect fled prior to the police arriving. The suspect was described as a black male, 16-20, 6 feet tall, 160-180 pounds, dreadlocks/twist.
Strong-arm robbery
-On Aug. 6 at 11:45 a.m., in the 23400 block of Rainbow Arch Drive in Clarksburg. The juvenile male victim was assaulted by three juveniles and had personal property stolen. Three males, 14-16, from Germantown, were arrested.
-On Aug. 7 at 9 p.m., in the 12800 block of Clopper Road in Germantown. The victim was leaving a store when he was approached from behind, knocked to the ground and punched. The suspects searched through the victim's pockets and fled with his property. Suspect No. 1 was described as a black male, 20-25, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, cornrows/braids. Suspect No. 2 was described as a black male, 20-25, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall.
Vehicle larceny
-19400 block of Zinnia Circle in Germantown, overnight between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8. GPS, cash, credit card taken.
-11700 block of Trophy Court in Germantown, overnight between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8. Vehicle left unlocked, clothing taken.
-19600 block of Twinflower Circle in Germantown, overnight between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8. Vehicle left unlocked, sunglasses taken.
Commercial burglary
-Absolute Auto, 22210 Dickerson Road in Dickerson, at 1:47 a.m. Aug. 6. The suspect searched the office and fled with no property. The suspect was described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 180-210 pounds, ski mask.
Residential burglary
-20300 block of Mill Pond Terrace in Germantown, at 5:40 a.m. Aug. 6. The suspect was observed inside the home. When confronted, the suspect fled, nothing taken.
-11200 block of Valley Bend Drive in Germantown, between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Aug. 6. No forced entry to garage, property taken.
-18700 block of Martins Landing Drive in Germantown, between 10 a.m. and 2:18 p.m. Aug. 4. No forced entry, property taken.
-15200 block of Eden Rock Court in Germantown, between 11 p.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 4. No forced entry to garage, property taken.
-18900 block of Highstream Drive in Germantown, at 10:23 p.m. Aug. 6. Forced entry, homeowner seen by suspect, suspect fled, no property taken. 17300 block of Stag Horn Court in Germantown, between 10:20 p.m. Aug. 5 and 11 a.m. Aug. 7. Forced entry, property taken.
