We, a core group of long time activists in this county, believe that there is a star among us, whose future is so bright that he will be a formidable player in shaping the future of Montgomery County for some time to come.

In all of the areas in which we as residents of Montgomery County have interests and concerns, Hugh Bailey, candidate for an at-large seat on the Montgomery County Council, has demonstrated a calm, yet commanding presence; a broad and in-depth knowledge of the prevailing issues, as well as a solid agenda for dealing with the challenges of education, affordable housing, transportation, health care, workforce development, smart growth and the preservation and enhancement of the quality of life on which the reputation of this county has been built.

It is only with fresh eyes, a fresh perspective, coupled with the capacity and ability to influence decisions and make things happen, that the new and continuing problems that have been plaguing the county have a chance to be resolved.

To date, Hugh Bailey has been endorsed by: The African American Democratic Club; the Montgomery County Hispanic Democratic Club; Montgomery County Public Schools Retired Teachers Association; Montgomery College Democrats; Montgomery Green Democrats; and Neighbors for a Better Montgomery.
