The following is a summary of incidents in eastern Montgomery County to which Montgomery County Police responded. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Silver Spring district

Armed robberies

*July 31: Two men, armed with a handgun and a knife, took property from a victim 1:20 a.m. at the intersection of Carroll Avenue and University Boulevard. The robbers were black, about 21 years old, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed about 150 pounds. Their hair was in dreadlocks.

*Aug. 3: A man with a gun took property from a pizza delivery driver about 8:20 p.m. in the unit block of Schuyler Road. The robber was black, between 20 and 25 years old, 6 feet 2 to 6 feet 4 inches tall with a thin build. He wore a white shirt and jeans.

*Aug. 4: A man with a gun took property from a food delivery driver 6:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of Blackburn Road. The robber was black, between 18 and 20 years old, between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed between 150 and 160 pounds. He had a triangular face with a pointed chin and wore black shorts, a shirt and dress shoes.

Strong-armed robbery

*Aug. 4: Two men were reported as pickpockets about 6:30 p.m. on the escalators of the Majestic Theater, 900 Ellsworth Drive. One man was black, in his 40s, between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall and weighed between 150 and 160 pounds. He wore a black jacket, gray pants and blue shirt. The other man was black, in his 30s, and wore an orange shirt and black jacket.

Aggravated assault

*Aug. 6: A victim was assaulted 4 a.m. near Briggs Chaney Road and Gateshead Manor Way. Police provided no details about the victim or the manner⁄severity of the assault, and no details were provided on the attacker.

Commercial burglaries

*Marriott, 12521 Prosperity Drive, Aug. 2. Forced entry; property taken. Two men were seen in the area.

*Silver Cycles, 9330 Georgia Ave., between midnight and 3:37 a.m. Aug. 6. Forced entry; property taken.

*Fehr’s Nursery, 4340 Sandy Spring Road, 5:40 a.m. July 31. Forced entry; property taken.

*Meadows Farms Nursery, 15930 Columbia Pike, between 5 a.m. and 5:09 a.m. Aug. 2. Window broken and rear door open; property taken.

*Fehr’s Nursery, 5:10 a.m. Aug. 2. Forced entry; property taken.

Residential burglaries⁄attempts

*Sligo Creek Parkway, 9000 block, between noon and 7:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

*Green Holly Terrace, 13300 block, 11:25 p.m. July 31. Suspect seen; no entry. He was Hispanic, with a medium build, and wore a dark green or blue sweatshirt.

*Highland Drive, 1200 block, 9:30 p.m. Aug. 1. Forced entry; property taken.

*Pershing Drive, 400 block, between 8:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

*Piney Branch Road, 9100 block, Aug. 6. Forced entry; property taken.

*Mount Pisgah Lane, 1700 block, between 9 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Aug. 1. Forced entry; property taken.

*Marlow Place, unit block, between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

Takoma Park

Auto thefts⁄attempts

*Maple Avenue, 7600 block, between noon Aug. 11 and 11 a.m. Aug. 12. Window of 1999 Honda Civic broken in attempt to steal the car.

*Maple Avenue, 7500 block, between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 12. 1997 Chrysler Cirrus taken.

Theft from auto

*Aug. 10: Someone took a purse from a passenger seat of a car at a service station in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue 1:55 p.m. when the owner was pumping gas. The thief fled in a vehicle. No description of the robber or the vehicle was provided.

Commercial burglaries

*New Hampshire Avenue, 7600 block, between 10 p.m. Aug. 11 and 9 a.m. Aug. 12. Front window smashed; property taken.

*Poplar Avenue, 6500 block, between 6:30 p.m. Aug. 15 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 16. School entered; property taken.

Residential burglaries

*Willow Avenue, 7300 block, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 10. Window forced open; property taken.

*Elm Avenue, 400 block, between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Aug. 14. Entry through unlocked window; property taken.

Arrests

*Aug. 10: A woman was arrested 1:45 p.m. in the 7600 block of Carroll Avenue on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on traffic-related charges.

*Aug. 15: Two men were charged 7:45 p.m. with consuming alcohol in public in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue.

*Aug. 15: A man was charged with first- and second-degree assault 9:35 p.m. in the 8200 block of Roanoke Avenue after police received a call for a domestic assault. The victim was treated for minor injuries and released from a hospital.

*Aug. 17: Four boys were arrested 3:30 a.m. after police responded to a silent alarm at a school in the 6500 block of Poplar Avenue. Warrants will be sought charging them with two counts of burglary and theft over $500 in connection with this case and the burglary from Aug. 15 and 16 at the same location.

Wheaton-Glenmont district

Armed robberies

*Aug. 3: Someone with a handgun took property from a victim 4:45 p.m. in the 13600 block of Georgia Avenue. Police did not release any information about the robber or the victim.

*Aug. 2: Two men armed with a gun took cash from Alante Financial Association, 11208 Grandview Ave. The robbers were black, between 30 and 35 years old, and wore sunglasses. One of the men was 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed between 230 and 240 pounds. The other is 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed between 190 and 200 pounds.

Strong-armed robberies

*July 29: A man assaulted a victim and took property 9:30 p.m. in the alley behind the Glenmont Shopping Center. No further information was provided about the victim or the assault. The robber was Hispanic, between 30 and 40 years old, between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He had a scar on the right side of his face.
