County police report

The following is a summary of recent incidents in the First (Rockville) and Fourth (Wheaton-Glenmont) districts to which the Montgomery County Police responded. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

First District

Armed robbery

*On Aug. 1 at 10:17 p.m. at Middle and Gridley roads in Rockville. A victim was assaulted, a handgun was used and property was taken. The first robber is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, black jacket and white shirt. The second is described as a black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 150 pounds, wearing a black jacket with red lining. Three others are described as black males, no further description. The suspect vehicle is described as a tan older-model four-door, possibly a Crown Victoria-type vehicle.

Strong-arm robberies

*On Aug. 5 at 1:22 a.m. at Lewis Street and Rockland Avenue in Rockville. Victim was assaulted and property was taken. Two robbers are described as black males, 25, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 165 pounds.

*On Aug. 5 between 8:40 and 9 p.m. at Baltimore Road and Maple Avenue in Rockville. Victim assaulted and property was taken. The first robber is described as a black male, 17-18, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing a brown T-shirt and blue jeans. The second is described as a black male, 17-18, wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans. The third is described as a black female, 17-18, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing pink jeans.

Commercial burglaries

*Flower Valley Bath & Racket Club, 4520 Flower Valley Drive in Rockville, between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 2 and 10:20 a.m. Aug. 3. Forced entry; property taken.

*Darcars Collision Center, 7428 Westmore Road in Rockville, between Aug. 3 and 6. Forced entry; property taken.

*Qudoba Mexican Restaurant, 128 Rollins Ave. in Rockville, between 11 p.m. Aug. 8 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 4. Forced entry; property taken.

*Foodstop Mini Mart, 4820 Boiling Brook Pkwy. in Rockville, between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 4 and 4 a.m. Aug. 5. Forced entry; no property taken.

Residential burglaries

*4700 block of Wyaconda Road in Rockville, at 6:32 p.m. Aug. 6. No forced entry; no property taken. The four burglars are described as black males, all wearing black shirts and black shorts.

Fourth District

Aggravated assault

*On Aug. 2 at 6:45 a.m. at Veirs Mill Road and University Boulevard in Wheaton. As a result of a traffic dispute, one male pulled a handgun and fired shots. The vehicle is described as a black pickup truck occupied by two Hispanic males.

Strong-arm robberies

*On July 29 at 9:30 p.m. in an alley behind the Super Buffet at Glenmont Shopping Center in Wheaton. Victim was assaulted and property was taken. The robber is described as a Hispanic male, 30-40, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, medium build, large scar right side of face.

*On Aug. 1 at 10:15 p.m., two adult victims at Olney Elementary School in Olney were assaulted and property was taken. The robber is described as male, race unknown, 18-25, 6 feet tall, 150 pounds.

*On Aug. 4 at 9 p.m. at Spartan and Buehler roads in Olney, two juvenile victims were assaulted and property was taken. The robber is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160, cornrows, wearing a white jersey and black shorts.

*On Aug. 5 at 2:25 a.m. in the 200 block of Ashcroft Court in Ashton, an adult victim was assaulted and property was taken. The robber is described as a black male, 20, 5 feet 10, 160 pounds, 2-inch braids, wearing long denim shorts.

Armed robbery

*On Aug. 3 at 4:45 p.m. in the 13600 block of Georgia Avenue. Handgun displayed; property taken.

Sexual assault

*On Aug. 5 at 5:45 a.m. at Glenmont Metro in Wheaton. A male fondled the victim as she slept on a bench waiting for the buses to begin running. The man fled the scene. He is described as unknown race, 30-40, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds, ponytail, and goatee.

Commercial armed robbery

*On Aug. 2 at 10:19 p.m. at Alante Financial, 11208 Grandview Ave. in Wheaton. A weapon was displayed and property was taken. The first robber is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 240 pounds, mustache and heavy build. The second is described as a black male, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, 190 pounds, thin build, goatee.

Residential burglaries

*12700 block of Hathaway Drive in Silver Spring, at an unknown time between July 28 and 29. Forced entry; property taken.

*14200 block of Pear Tree Lane in Aspen Hill, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. July 30. Forced entry; property taken.

*14200 block of Pear Tree Lane in Aspen Hill, at 5:10 p.m. July 30. No forced entry; property taken.

*1400 block of Patuxent Drive in Olney, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. July 31. Forced entry; property taken.

*4200 block of Landgreen Street in Rockville, between 7:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 1. No forced entry; property taken.

*12900 block of Parkland Drive in Aspen Hill, between 3:30 and 5:16 p.m. Aug. 2. Forced entry; no property taken.

*3500 block of Beret Lane in Aspen Hill, between 8:26 and 8:45 p.m. Aug. 2. Forced entry; no property taken.

*3200 block of Spartan Road in Olney, between 2:45 and 4:45 p.m. Aug. 3. No forced entry; no property taken.

*2200 block of Shorefield Road in Wheaton, between 7:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 2 Forced entry; property taken.

*3500 block of Beret Lane in Aspen Hill, between 8:26 and 8:45 p.m. Aug. 2. Forced entry; no property taken.

*11100 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, at an unknown time between Aug. 3 and 4. Force entry; property taken.

*13600 block of Stonebarn Lane in Wheaton, between Aug. 3 and 5 at an unknown time. No forced entry; property taken.

*4200 block of Headwaters Lane in Brookeville, between July 22 and Aug. 5 while the victims were away. No forced entry; property taken.

*17500 block of Longview Lane in Olney, between Aug. 4 and 5 in the evening. No forced entry; property was taken from shed.
