Thomas William Dorsey Jr., 80, of Clarksburg died Aug. 13, 2007, at his residence.

He was the husband of Hester Catherine Blake Dorsey.

He was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Lewisdale, the son of the late Thomas William Dorsey Sr. and Mymie Elizabeth Lyles Dorsey.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and a lifetime member of Pleasant Grove Christian Community Church in Damascus.

Mr. Dorsey was a plumber by trade and worked for Jones of Damascus and then had a long tenure with Montgomery County Public Schools.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and crossword puzzles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Catherine E. Matthews and husband Otis of Montgomery Village, Thomas W. Dorsey III and his wife Jacquelin of Clarksburg, Jeff T. Dorsey of London, England, and Roxanne D. Plummer and husband Michael of Damascus; three grandchildren; one sister, Clara Mae Dorsey of Philadelphia; and other family and friends.

A sister, Minnie Pryor, preceded him in death.

Services were held Friday at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home in Damascus. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Christian Community Church Cemetery in Damascus.
