Road is a speed trap

The newly installed cameras to catch speeders on Watkins Mill Road (near Travis Avenue) strike me as harassment by local police.

The road is 35 mph through Montgomery Village and then drops to 25 mph once the roads crosses a creek and goes into Gaithersburg.

The police have used this stretch of road for years as a speed trap. Raise the speed limit; don’t install cameras.

The 25 mph speed limit is too low; it should be at least 35 mph.
