The following is a summary of recent incidents in the upcounty to which the Montgomery County Police responded. The words ‘‘arrested” and ‘‘charged” do not imply guilt.

Fifth District

Attempted armed robbery

*On Aug. 4 at 1:20 a.m. in the 12800 block of Clopper Road in Germantown, a victim was approached by a man who pointed a black handgun and demanded property. No property was taken. The robber is described as black, 20-25, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a ski mask.

Residential burglaries

*23200 block of Frederick Road in Clarksburg, at an unknown time between July 31 to Aug. 1. Forced entry; property taken.

*18900 block of Fountain Hills Drive in Germantown, at 5:25 a.m. Aug. 2. Forced entry; property taken.

*17100 block of Spates Hill Road in Poolesville, at 7:49 p.m. Aug. 7. Forced entry; property taken.

*20500 block of Amethyst Lane in Germantown, between 2 and 4 p.m. July 31. No forced entry; property taken. The burglar is described as a black male, 18-25, dark brown complexion, thin build.

*25300 block of Clearwater Drive in Damascus between 1 p.m. Aug. 2 and 9:46 a.m. Aug. 3. No forced entry; property taken.

*19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown, between 8:05 and 8:12 a.m. Aug. 2. No forced entry; property taken.

*19100 block of Staleybridge Road in Germantown, between Aug. 5 and 6. Forced entry; no property taken.

*11500 block of Scottsbury Terrace in Germantown, at 9:10 a.m. Aug. 6. No forced entry; no property taken. The first burglar is described as a white male, 18-20, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120-140 pounds, wearing a white shirt. The second is described as a black male, 18-20, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120-140 pounds.
