The front-drive Toyota Corolla continues to remain true to the ideals that make Corolla the world's all-time best selling car: affordability, high quality, reliability and an enjoyable driving and ownership experience.

The Corolla is powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder, twin-cam, 16-valve engine with VVT-i (variable valve time with intelligence). Torque is transferred to the road via the standard five-speed manual gearbox. An electronic four-speed automatic transmission is optional.

Available in CE, S and LE trim levels, the Corolla is solid and reassuring at speed. Responsive, smooth and quiet, this Toyota continues to be a smart choice for budget-minded consumers. The control hardware is traditional and proven: MacPherson struts in front, torsion beam in the rear and front⁄rear stabilizer bars for maximum control. This configuration results in improved road feel and better impact damping over irregular surfaces.

Inside the cabin, Toyota engineers developed a theme that creates an air of roominess, access, and a clean, crisp simplicity. Displays and controls are convenient and well laid out. The driver enjoys good outward visibility. The center dashboard boasts a powerpoint for a portable electronic appliance.

Dual cupholders front and rear are combined with plenty of nooks and crannies for storage throughout the passenger compartment. The rear seat is comfortable and hospitable for two adults. The standard 60⁄40 split folding rear seat increases the versatility of the trunk space. There are floor mounted controls for the trunk release and fuel filler doors. The rear windows go all the way down.
