Bowie woman arrested for ordering dog to attack police officerA dog was Tasered and a woman arrested for assaulting a Bowie police officer after she ordered her dog to attack an officer responding to a call for a domestic dispute Sunday, according to Bowie police reports. Bowie police officers responded to a home in the 12500 block of Kavanaugh Lane just after midnight where it was reported that Nora Funkhouser, 45, was arguing with her boyfriend, William Lowe. The two were in a bedroom with a dog when officer Aaron Williams asked Funkhouser to come outside. Funkhouser refused several times but eventually opened the door and ordered the dog to attack the officers. Williams was backed into a corner with his gun drawn when Officer Julius Simms used his issued Taser on the dog, which retreated after being hit in the side. Funkhouser was arrested and charged with first-degree assault of an officer. Chiropractic clinic burglarized The Total Wellness Chiropractic had $100 in cash and personal checks stolen in a burglary sometime between the evening of Aug. 13 and 7:50 a.m. Aug. 14, according to Bowie police reports. An employee who opened the business Aug. 14 noticed the front door of the store had been pried open and the cash box removed. Total Wellness is located in the 6000 block of Laurel-Bowie Road. Prince George's County police are investigating. Police looking for man accused of sex offense Police are looking for a man accused of inappropriately touching a woman's leg in a Target store. A juvenile reported that she was shopping in the store at 4600 Mitchellville Road at about 2 p.m. Sunday when a man bent down next to her to tie his shoe and then lifted up her skirt to touch the back of her leg. According to Bowie police reports, the man is Hispanic, 6-feet 3-inches tall, 200 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans. Home under construction burglarized The burglary of a home under construction in the 2700 block of Church Road was reported on Saturday. Burglars took a Jacuzzi, drywall, generators, copper pipes and other equipment from the home sometime in the three days prior to the report, according to Prince George's County police reports.
