Haide and Bill Earl of Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, Del., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 23 at an open house at "Holly Haven" in Delaware. They lived in Rockville for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Earl worked for Montgomery County Public Schools and was an instructional assistant at Flower Valley Elementary School for 17 years.

Mr. Earl was a music teacher at Gaithersburg High School from 1948 to 1968 and at Rockville High School from 1969 to 1973.

They have two daughters, Heide Smith and her husband Jim, and Lori Bryan and her husband Barry. They are the grandparents of Jennifer, Heather and Daniel, and have two great granddaughters, Sophia and Emma.
